Luzea™ provides a space for faith and prayer, offering the religious community a new way to practice their faith. The Luzea™ app allows you to light a real, physical candle in churches, shrines, and places of worship that offer the service, directly from your mobile device. This maintains your connection between your prayers and personal intentions and the religious images or figures located there (Jesus, the Virgin Mary, saints, etc.). Unlike traditional candle lighting in the church, Luzea™ gives you the possibility of doing so from anywhere and at any time, overcoming distances and eliminating waiting so that, the moment an intention arises, you can practice your faith even if you cannot be physically present. How does it work? When you use our service, you don't receive a virtual candle; you are remotely lighting a 100% real physical device. Our votive candle stands are physically installed and have a camera so you can see your candle live from the app when you are not in person at your church. Our candles are made of real wax (paraffin) inside a red cylinder, with an LED light that mimics the light of a flame, preserving the essence and beauty of a traditional flame. When you choose to light a candle through Luzea™, you'll see a list of locations and another list of religious devotions so you can choose where to light your candle and which image you want to dedicate your prayer, petition, or intention to. You can write it down if you wish, but it's not required. When your candle is lit in the chosen church, you can see it through the camera and make it blink by pressing a button to distinguish your candle from the others. To show you the Virgin Mary, the saint, or Christ you've chosen, an image will be generated next to your intention over a candle animation. This way, the image and your prayer can accompany you throughout the day. Why do I have to pay to light a candle? Installation, user registration, and your first candle are free so you can try the service. We encourage you to amplify your prayer by sending your light to the image of your devotion. From the second candle onwards, you are financially supporting churches and sanctuaries because each month we pay the amounts due to them so that they can continue their social work and maintain the valuable artistic and architectural heritage, as determined by the contract established with them. Luzea™ also has to cover the costs of maintaining the service and developing the app, as well as transaction fees.
