WizMiz is an Abstract Board Game for two players. A strategy game of 18 red dots vs 18 blue dots that is simple, fast & challenging. Each dot may move one or more squares at a time: vertically, horizontally, or diagonally – but not backward. The object of the game is to move your color dots across the board to the last opposite row. Two ways to win: 1. The first player to fill the last opposite row with 8 dots wins, or 2. The first player that has all of their remaining dots on the last opposite row, and none of their other dots left on the play field. You move by touching your dot then an empty square, or touching your dot then your opponents dot, removing It from the play field. A fast-moving strategy game for all to play. WizMiz was created by Jack Boasberg in 1986. Updated in 2019 at Lightorium.com, LLC. Developed by Juggleware.

Pente is an engaging abstract strategy board game for two players. The objective is to be the first to achieve either of two winning conditions: creating a row of five stones in a straight line (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) or capturing a total of five pairs of your opponent's stones. Played on a 19x19 grid board, Pente offers a rich strategic experience. Players take turns placing stones on the intersections, aiming to create winning patterns while thwarting their opponent's plans. With only one stone placed per turn, each move requires thoughtful consideration and strategic thinking. In addition to stone placement, players can strategically capture their opponent's stones. By sandwiching two of their opponent's stones between two of their own in a straight line, players remove the captured stones from the board. This capturing mechanism adds tactical depth, allowing players to disrupt their opponent's strategy and gain an advantage. Pente combines planning, strategy, and tactical play to create an intriguing and challenging game. Its popularity among board game enthusiasts has led to competitive tournaments where players showcase their skills. Whether you're an experienced strategist or new to abstract board games, Pente provides an immersive experience that keeps you engaged. Pente belongs to a family of abstract strategy board games, including notable titles like Go and Gomoku (Five in a Row). These games share fundamental elements such as turn-based gameplay, stone placement on a grid board, and the pursuit of specific patterns or alignments. Each game offers a unique strategic experience within the world of abstract strategy.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Pente Go holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pente Go has 54 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of WizMiz's written reviews are positive against 50% of Pente Go's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
WizMiz ships an update every 3 weeks, Pente Go every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
