ASSISTments Mobile vs Owlet

This app is for students and teachers who are NOT using ASSISTments with Google Classroom. If you are a student with an ASSISTments problem set in Google Classroom use their app. If you are a teacher using Google classroom go to assistments.org to get started. When teachers use ASSISTments they get actionable data on assignments while their students receive immediate feedback as they work in class or at home. Teachers can build their own content or use content already from our library of content at https://new.assistments.org/content. Students can complete teacher assigned work on any computer browser or if they are not using Google Classroom on a mobile device with this app. Teachers who do not have Google Classroom get started by registering for an assistments account. Go to “Sign up for Version 1.0” at https://www.assistments.org/. Teachers learn how to find content and make assignments at our support pages. Students get started by creating an account at the same school as their teacher and enrolling in their teachers class. They can then sign into their account at this app. Questions? Owlet: Cube3 is an app that uses the Owlet CubeTower manipulative. Students create numbers by stacking small cubes in the columns of the CubeTower. Cube3 has five modes. Each corresponds to a different topic in place value: Tens, Hundreds, Money, Hundredths, and Thousandths. For each topic, there are five different activities. - Explore: Students place cubes in the CubeTower to create numbers that are shown on the tablet. - Make: Students are prompted to make a target number by placing cubes in the CubeTower. - Build: Students solve number puzzles. For example, students might be asked to build a number between 200 and 300 using 5 cubes. - Compare: Students create a number in the CubeTower and then compare it to a number generated by the app. - Round: Students use the CubeTower to round a number to a specified place.
