Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Trashbot at 4.8 against Reconstruct's 4.3. Reconstruct's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 10 months). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS

CostPrice · In-app purchases · Ads · Monetization

Both are free to download. Trashbot sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Reconstruct sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Trashbot holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 13 and 27 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Trashbot's written reviews are positive against 82% of Reconstruct's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Trashbot ships an update every 10 months, Reconstruct every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
