DSOBS vs ChattyMatty

The DSOBS - The Doon School Old Boys' Society An exclusive application for Doscos, the alumni of The Doon School, Dehradun. Most features are for Old Boys only (Sign In is post a verification and approval by the DSOBS Office). Some features, like the Rose Bowl Publication, Doscos in the News and Footsteps (Social Work by Doscos) are accessible to all. The App allows Old Boys to connect with each other and the community as a whole, message each other privately and in interest based Common Rooms, to receive notifications on DSOBS events, social and business ventures undertaken by Doscos, a jobs and careers section (for Doscos and people Doscos recommend for jobs), and to get a detailed, search enabled view of each others professional and personal profiles. The App maintains the highest levels of encrypted cloud based security. Further measures are takes to ensure that the quality of interaction between Old Boys is of a certain standard of integrity. All private messages and interactions in the common rooms are rated to display the usefulness of a member's messages and comments; and, the total number blocks and black lists accrued by an individual member. Doscos using the app are requested to create an online space of support, acceptance, humor, camaraderie, honor, usefulness and integrity. As Doscos, living up to the ideals set by our founders and our experiences in school, we aim to give back to society at large. To further this endeavor we have the Footsteps section that showcases actions undertaken by Doon School's alums to serve as inspiration for more Doscos to join them in these, and to start new initiatives to serve the common good of our fellow beings. Our school motto as always is 'Knowledge Our Light', and purpose of the DSOBS is to create a community of service into which a boy enters - an 'Aristocracy of Service'.
