Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: BD Train Tracking at 100% against Jobike's 6%. BD Train Tracking also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 14 months) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). Jobike's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Jobike holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BD Train Tracking has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 6% of Jobike's written reviews are positive against 100% of BD Train Tracking's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Jobike ships an update every 14 months, BD Train Tracking every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
