In addition to audio tours and atmospheric audio walks through downtown Weimar and the museums and historical parks of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar, the app offers numerous multimedia information and tours on the topics of Weimar classicism, modernism and historical parks. You can use an interactive map to explore the language area of ​​the city of Weimar, the Park on the Ilm and the Belvedere Castle Park individually for yourself. With activated GPS, you can display all audio stops in the immediate vicinity and go on a discovery tour using a filterable recommendation system. Are you looking for the nearest WiFi hotspot or museum shop? No problem - in our legend you can display all service information about your visit. Discover our game with AR functions in the Park on the Ilm and in the Nietzsche Archive. Packed in various small puzzles, the individual locations can be explored from a new perspective. Help us document the changes at selected sites for our future resarch efforts and learn more about these sublime views. In the Herzogin Anna Amalia Bibliothek, an AR application gives you the opportunity to take books off the shelves and take a look at the treasures of the famous library. There is also a 3D application for the Nietzsche Archive, with which Nietzsche's death room can be explored virtually. The app helps you prepare for and follow up your visit with in-depth information, interviews with our curators, video features of the artists and gardeners, hearing a matter of debates that address the political and cultural present as well as event recommendations. Mittelbau-Dora mirrors the history of forced concentration camp labour and the relocation of armaments production to underground sites during World War II. Between 1943 and 1945, more than 60,000 persons from nearly all the countries of Europe were compelled to perform forced labour here for the German armaments industry. After the liberation in April 1945, the camp provided accommodations for freed concentration camp inmates; later it served as a reception camp for German deportees from Czechoslovakia. Today Mittelbau-Dora is a museum of contemporary history and a European commemoration site in one. With this app, you can tour the former camp grounds and the permanent exhibition in the museum building at your own speed and by the route of your choice. It provides basic information on 17 historically significant outdoor sites, supplemented with the recollections of concentration camp survivors. In the exhibition, the multimedia guide offers insights into the history of the camp as illustrated by a number of important objects. The app can be used both as an interactive travel guide at the memorial and as a general source of information on the history of the place.
