The solution is designed for use with a dedicated scanner sled. • Transfusion Administration enables a caregiver to positively identify the patient and verify the administration of blood products using bar-code technology by scanning the blood bank recipient document and comparing this to the donor bank label on the blood product. • Specimen Collections enables a caregiver to positively identify the patient and verify specimen collections at the point of collection using bar-code technology. The solution provides using real-time collection lists and a standardized specimen collection process. • Breast Milk Management enables a caregiver to positively identify the patient and verify the management of breast milk by scanning the bottle labels to ensure the correct milk is going to the correct patient.
