Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Plane log at none against Kneeboard for Pilots's 1. Plane log also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.5). Kneeboard for Pilots's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 4 months). On price and ads there is nothing between them.
