Unofficial practice app published by AZSoft. It does not represent any authority. Not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and Skills (HK-dir) or the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI). Norwegian citizenship requires passing the citizenship test, statsborgerprøven. It usually has 36 questions with three choices, lasts at most 60 minutes, and you pass with 24 correct out of the 32 questions that give points. You choose bokmål or nynorsk at the test; the app is in bokmål. The social studies test, samfunnskunnskapsprøven, has 38 questions, lasts at most 60 minutes, and you pass with at least 26 correct. Both tests are built on the same syllabus: the national curriculum in social studies for adult immigrants. WHAT IS IN THE APP ▸ 472 questions with three choices, spread across the syllabus's three modules ▸ Every question is anchored in one sentence from a law or a regulation, word for word. No fact is invented, and an automated check refuses a question whose source cannot be found verbatim in the archived text ▸ The count follows the sources, not the marketing: the 472 questions cite 409 distinct provisions, 82 879 words of source text in total. That is why the app does not advertise thousands of questions: beyond the sources there is nothing more to ask without inventing it ▸ 475 Norwegian audio clips that work offline: one for every question and one for every fact sheet ▸ 3 fact sheets, one per module, with 43 facts in total ▸ A timed mock in the format of statsborgerprøven: 36 questions in 60 minutes, judged on the 32 that give points. The questions are spread evenly across the three modules. HK-dir does not publish the split; this is our own ▸ Smart review that finds the questions you keep getting wrong ▸ An audio queue so you can listen to the syllabus when you cannot read ▸ 20 frequently asked questions about the tests: registration, exemptions, retakes ▸ Interface in Norwegian, English and Arabic. The questions are always in Norwegian, because the test is. ABOUT THE RESULTS You see the share you answer correctly overall and per module, and how it develops. The app's own readiness marker is clearly labelled as the app's own; it is not a test result and says nothing about how HK-dir assesses. WHAT THE APP DOES NOT DO The social studies test also contains image questions, where you tick the right spot on a picture. The app does not reproduce those. It practises the multiple-choice questions, which are the whole of the citizenship test and most of the social studies test.
