MenuLens is a camera translator for menus, signs, notices, and price tags. Point your iPhone at unfamiliar text while traveling to read translations overlaid on the original photo. YOUR LANGUAGE Uses your iPhone language when supported. English is the fallback. MENUS, SIGNS, PRICES Works with restaurant menus, storefront signs, notices, opening hours, and price lists. Printed prices stay on screen. When the source currency is clear, an approximate conversion in your currency may appear using that day's exchange rate. FREE USE The first 3 successful reads are free. After that, an optional 30-Day Travel Pass is available. It does not auto-renew. ON-DEVICE PROCESSING Apple Vision reads text on your iPhone. Apple Translation overlays your language. Scene images are not uploaded to a NextBase server. COMMON QUESTIONS Q: Can I translate a restaurant menu with my iPhone camera? A: Yes. Point the camera at a readable menu and view translations on the photo. Q: Does it work for signs and price labels, not only food menus? A: Yes. Signs, notices, opening hours, and price boards are supported. Q: Are my photos sent to a server? A: Scene images are not uploaded to a NextBase server. Exchange-rate lookup may use the network when showing currency conversion. Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ST'ART at none against MenuLens Translate's 1. ST'ART also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). MenuLens Translate's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 4 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.
