Swingsy is a private social network which allows its members to feel free to express themselves and be themselves. We want to make sure we have a community that only has respectful people. Indeed, registration on the site only works on sponsorship, thanks to a code that only us or our partners can deliver. Members can also co-opt their closest friends, and participate in the evolution of the community. To allow our members to meet, we offer events such as parties in Paris or weekends in the south of France. We also sell our partners’ trip around the world because Swingsy is first French but wants to be international.

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Swingsy at 5.0 against Midnight Talk's 4.5. Swingsy also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 12.0). Midnight Talk's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (12 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Swingsy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Midnight Talk has 12 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of Swingsy's written reviews are positive against 73% of Midnight Talk's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Swingsy ships an update every 5 months, Midnight Talk every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
