Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: IGDB at 5.0 against Business Glu's 4.7. IGDB also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Business Glu's advantage is ratings volume (18 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
IGDB holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Business Glu has 18 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Business Glu ships an update every 2 months, IGDB every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
