This app allows you to visually program a flight plan for the Tello Drone and then upload it to the drone for execution. You can also fly the drone manually with the app if you wish. Real time telemetry from the drone is displayed on the glass cockpit. Tello is a mini drone equipped with a HD camera that is manufactured by Ryze Robotics and includes a flight controller with DJI smarts. We access the Tello API by connecting to the airframe via a WiFi UDP port. Once a connection is in place, the drone is controlled using simple text commands. So before using the app, make sure that your Tello drone is on and the iPhone is connected to the Tello WiFi. You can check this by going to Settings -> WiFi. The first time that you use the app it will request your permission to use Location Services. This is required to allow the app to determine the SSID of the WiFi connection so we know when you are connected to the drone. The app doesn't use location services for anything else. The app has two modes of operation: manual and planning / auto pilot. The app status is shown in the top centre panel. This panel also indicates whether WiFi is connected or not. It may take a few seconds for a change in WiFi status to be displayed.  If you are connected to the Tello and in manual mode, then tapping the take off icon will cause the drone to auto take off and hover. Tapping land will auto land. Only tap emergency stop if necessary as it will immediately stop all four motors and the drone will fall out of the sky! Tapping the plan button toggles the app state between planning mode and manual mode. In planning mode a grid (representing the ground) and yellow arrow (representing the drone), will appear. The arrow direction indicates the front of the drone. In planning mode, you can enter the sequence of commands which will be transmitted to your drone for execution. Start with take off or you will receive a warning message. When you are finished with your flight plan tap land. The arrow will simulate the position of the drone but is not to scale. Tapping the upload icon will send your flight plan to the Tello and execute it. While the plan is being flown, the app will display the glass cockpit. Real time telemetry from the drone is displayed on the glass cockpit. This includes pitch, roll, yaw, velocity (x, y, z), temperature, time of flight (tof), height, battery percentage, motor on time, barometric pressure, and acceleration (x, y, z). A full description of how the app operates is provided at our website (reefwing.com.au). FlightPlan is a refined version of another that I described in an article called "Programming the Tello Drone using Swift." (https://medium.com/@reefwing/programming-the-tello-drone-using-swift-f9122fd4aeb8?). You can refer to this article to understand how the app operates and create your own version.

Key function ———————— With this app, the teacher can quickly form small groups of students to perform cooperative assignments. How it works ———————— To form peer groups, you need to select a class, and then the size of the group. For example, 2 people, or 3, or 4, etc. After that, the application will automatically divide students into small groups and show their names on the phone screen. Notes ———————— Groups are formed in random order. First, It needs enter the names of the classes and the names of the students into the program. Discussion: Why is this necessary? ———————— Uniting students into groups for joint work is one of the progressive educational technologies. By completing various educational tasks together with peers, students acquire not only educational knowledge, but also the experience of communicating with other people, the experience of joint search and acquisition of new knowledge. Moreover, a number of studies show that knowledge and skills at the first stage exist in the form of communication between people, and then are transformed into an individual experience of the individual. Various criteria can be used to create cooperative groups. Most often this is a random choice, when students come together in groups to gain experience of working with different peers. For example, a teacher asks students to name numbers in order from 1 to 3, then everyone with number 1 is grouped into the first group, students with number 2 are grouped into the second group, etc. Also, groups can unite students with the same or, conversely, different levels of training in the subject (for example, programming, English, mathematics, etc.), with the same or different first language of communication, etc. The sizes of small groups depend on the content of the tasks being solved. Most often, groups of 2, 3 or 4 people are created, less often 5 or more. More complex criteria or procedures for creating cooperative groups also require more time to prepare them (for example, to assess the level of training), as well as to carry them out. The Teacher Group Maker app automates this routine and allows the teacher to create small groups within a class based on a random selection literally within seconds. At the beginning of the term, the teacher can enter the names of the classes with which he will work, as well as the names of the students. Then, during the lesson , he can quickly form small groups, varying their size. Conclusion ———————— The Teacher Group Maker app takes another step towards improving the education system through the use of new high technology. The target audience ———————— The application is addressed to teachers and instructors of schools, colleges and universities. Dedicated to ———————— The developer dedicates this application to teachers of Mt Hood Community College (Gresham, OR). I was happy to take Swift programming classes at this college using a curriculum kindly provided by Apple company. Privacy Policy ———————— This app does not collect any data about users and their records. All user data is stored on the phone or iPad and is not transmitted anywhere. Contact ———————— You can send your questions and suggestions to the email address - mobile.369.app@gmail.com
