About

Jam Ok

Features

Jam OK is a simple, reliable safety check-in app that gives families, caregivers and friends peace of mind. Whether you look after an elderly parent, a child or a friend who lives alone, one tap tells you they are OK, and if they are not, you know straight away. HOW IT WORKS Jam OK has two roles: a Guardian and a Dependent. • The Guardian sets the daily check-in times. • At each time, the Dependent gets a notification and taps "I'm OK", in the app or right from the notification. • If a check-in is missed, the Guardian is alerted. • If something is wrong, the Dependent holds the SOS button for 3 seconds and the Guardian is alerted immediately, with their location. KEY FEATURES Simple Check-ins: One big "I'm OK" button and a calm, clear design that anyone can use, whatever their tech skills. SOS, Always in Reach: The SOS button stays at the bottom of the screen. Hold it for 3 seconds, or send an SOS straight from the notification. When they are safe again, the Dependent can close the SOS with "I'm safe now", or the Guardian marks it as resolved. Critical Alerts: SOS and missed check-in alerts reach Guardians even in Silent Mode or Focus. Live Location: The Dependent can share their live location for 15 minutes, 1, 8 or 24 hours, and it starts automatically for one hour after an SOS. Guardians follow it on a map, and sharing can be stopped at any time. Safe Zones: Mark places like home, school or work on a map. The Guardian is notified when the Dependent arrives or leaves, even with the app closed. Every arrival and departure is saved in History. Backup Guardian: Add a second person, such as a sibling, a neighbour or another parent. They receive SOS alerts, repeated missed check-ins and safe zone alerts, never routine check-ins. Share a code and they are connected. Shake for Help: Can't reach the button? Shake the phone firmly to send an SOS. A 3-second countdown with a large Cancel button means an accidental shake never sends a false alarm. Optional, and off until you turn it on. Missed Check-in Escalation: If several check-ins are missed in a row, the Guardian automatically receives the Dependent's last known location, clearly labelled with how recent it is, so they know where to start looking. Everything at a Glance: Each person's card shows their status, battery, today's check-ins, the next check-in and whether they are in a safe zone. A phone at 5% explains a lot. Privacy-First: Location is used only at clear moments: a check-in or SOS, live sharing, safe zone arrivals and departures (only if the Dependent allows it), signing out, and after repeated missed check-ins. The Dependent sees every safe zone and every share, and can stop sharing at any time. We never sell data and never use it for advertising. Guided Setup: A short welcome tour explains how the app works for your role, in plain language. Seven Languages: English, Albanian, Italian, German, French, Spanish and Greek, including all notifications. Safety First, Always: Nobody should be left without help. SOS alerts, missed check-in alerts, live location and one safe zone are free for everyone, forever. JAM OK PREMIUM The free version lets you check in on 1 person with up to 3 daily check-ins, 1 safe zone and a 7-day history. Jam OK Premium adds: • More People: check in on as many family members or friends as you need. • More Check-ins: up to 5 check-in times a day. • More Safe Zones: up to 5 places. • Longer History: 30 days of check-ins. If a subscription ends while more than one person is connected, Jam OK never cuts anyone off without warning. Both the Guardian and the Dependent are told several days in advance, with a countdown in the app, so there is time to renew. Download Jam OK today and know your loved ones are safe.
