Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Eager Dog at 100% against Toronto Argonauts's 57%. Eager Dog also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months). Toronto Argonauts's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (4 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Toronto Argonauts holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 1 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Toronto Argonauts's written reviews are positive against 100% of Eager Dog's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Toronto Argonauts ships an update every 2 months, Eager Dog every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
