Verdict
The clearest difference is monetization model: UnlockApp at free against Mozaic's paid. UnlockApp also leads on rating (3.7 vs 3.5) and ratings volume (12 vs 4). Mozaic's advantage is update cadence (daily vs monthly) and review sentiment (86% vs 63%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. UnlockApp sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Mozaic sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
UnlockApp holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 12 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of UnlockApp's written reviews are positive against 86% of Mozaic's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
UnlockApp ships an update monthly, Mozaic daily. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
