Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: SGMP at 4.0 against DragLights's 1.8. SGMP also leads on ads (none vs shown). DragLights's advantage is review sentiment (40% vs 0%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DragLights sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and SGMP sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

SGMP holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DragLights has 13 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of DragLights's written reviews are positive against 0% of SGMP's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

DragLights ships an update every 3 weeks, SGMP every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 15, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
