Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: DragBMP at 4.0 against DragLights's 1.8. DragBMP also leads on ads (none vs shown). DragLights's advantage is review sentiment (40% vs 0%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DragLights sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and DragBMP sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
DragBMP holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 1.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 13 and 6 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of DragLights's written reviews are positive against 0% of DragBMP's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
DragLights ships an update every 3 weeks, DragBMP every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 15, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
