Verdict
The clearest difference is price: Lab | Audio at Free against Phazr's $3.99. Lab | Audio also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 82%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). Phazr's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (137 vs 1). On ads, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Lab | Audio is free to download; Phazr costs $3.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Phazr holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Phazr has 137 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 82% of Phazr's written reviews are positive against 100% of Lab | Audio's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Phazr ships an update every 2 months, Lab | Audio every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
