DynoRoad's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.4) and in-app purchases (none vs 2). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

DynoRoad holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tune It Yourself has 62 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 89% of Tune It Yourself's written reviews are positive against 38% of DynoRoad's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Tune It Yourself ships an update every 3 weeks, DynoRoad weekly. The most recent releases landed on June 10, 2026 and June 1, 2026 respectively.
