Soil Color Pro estimates soil color from an iPhone or iPad camera. Open Live and keep soil inside the fixed center target. The target always matches the pixels being averaged, and the closest color name and swatch appear beside it. With Pro, Auto Reference can recognize a neutral gray card, white paper, or yellow note elsewhere in the frame, mark the detected patch, and use it to correct the live reading. Capture or choose a photo with Pro when you want a documented reading. Soil Color Pro averages the circular target, rejects clipped highlights and deep shadows, trims luminance extremes, and reduces color outliers. Move the target anywhere in the photo to update the averaged swatch, color name, field notation, confidence, and nearby named colors. Designed for real field work: • A fixed, visible center target that matches the sampled pixels • Pro automatic white-balance reference detection with an on-screen marker • Clear color swatches and names • Robust mid-tone sampling instead of one center pixel • Pro gray card, white paper, or yellow note calibration • GPS pins and copied field notes • CSV, Excel, and Google Earth KMZ export with captured photos Your first Live preview session is free for up to five minutes. The preview ends when you leave Live or put the app in the background. Continued Live scanning, automatic reference calibration, Capture, photo analysis, nearby swatches, pins, and exports require Pro Monthly, Pro Yearly, or Lifetime Access. Eligible new yearly subscribers receive a 7-day free trial, followed by an auto-renewing subscription at the price displayed before purchase.
