Worrydolls gives you a small doll who is ready to listen to what is worrying you. Tell your worry to the doll, then track it over time. You can use Worrydolls like a journal to help you overcome anxiety and stress. The idea of worrydolls started with the indigenous people of Guatemala. The first worrydoll was given to the princess Ixucane as a special gift from the sun god, with the promise that the worrydoll could handle any worry a person could have. Ever since, tiny worrydolls made leftover cloth have been given to worried people. Whisper a single worry to the worrydoll, and hide it under their pillow. As soon as the worrydoll is told the worry, sorrow, or fear, it takes the burden and carries it from then on. The app works the same way! Just tell a single worry to the Worrydoll, and the Worrydoll will carry it for you. In this way, you can have worrydolls on your phone. When your worry is finished, you can tell the worrydoll that he/she does not need to worry anymore. You can always look back at your old worries to feel a sense of calm. My grandmother gave me tiny worrydolls because I was always worrying as a child. Now, you can have Worrydolls on your phone. I hope that the worrydolls can help you just like they helped me. People often say, "I have a friend…" — but the friend who knows you best is you. iFriend is a conversational journal. Start a topic, then speak as the different voices in your head — the hopeful you, the worried you, a wise mentor, you in ten years — and talk it through like a chat. Torn about quitting your job, winding down before bed, or too anxious to think straight? Let every voice have its say. The answer is often in the conversation. HOW IT WORKS • Start a topic, like "Should I change jobs?" • Pick who's speaking above the text box and write as that feeling or role • Create your own roles with a name, color and photo • Look back and see how your thinking unfolded FEATURES • Chat-style journaling with bubbles on both sides • Role library: Optimist, Pessimist, Belief, Enthusiasm, Fear, Wise Mentor and more, or make your own • Edit, copy or delete any message with a long-press • Timestamps in chat, optionally on every message • Voice messages and photos • Pinned conversations and full-text search with highlights • Stats: see which inner voice speaks the most • Your name and photo, theme color, chat background and text size • Dark mode • Export and import a full backup, including photos and voice notes PRIVACY • No account. Everything stays on your phone and is never uploaded • No AI — nobody reads your conversations • Optional Face ID lock with passcode fallback IN-APP PURCHASE Try every feature free for 7 days. After that, a one-time unlock lets you start new conversations — no subscription, no ads. Your existing conversations always stay available. CONTACT Questions or ideas? Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Worrydolls at 4.8 against innerFriend's 4.3. Worrydolls also leads on ratings volume (15K vs 7). innerFriend's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Worrydolls sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and innerFriend sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Worrydolls holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Worrydolls has 15K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 89% of Worrydolls's written reviews are positive against 96% of innerFriend's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
