Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
ShortSheets costs $99.99 and Control Mark $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Control Mark holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ShortSheets has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of ShortSheets's written reviews are positive against 0% of Control Mark's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
ShortSheets ships an update every 6 weeks, Control Mark every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
