FACT vs Karibu.

FACT: First Aid Communication Tool Communicating in different languages in the workplace becomes a lot easier with this practical tool. FACT translates between Dutch, French, English, Spanish, Romanian, Polish, Arabic, Farsi Dari, Pashto, Somalian and Ukrainian. It can also be used as a practice tool for language learning in the workplace. The user chooses his/her source language and the requested target language. Different languages can also be chosen. For each word, you always get the written word, its spoken version, and a supporting image in the selected languages. The vocabulary packages were established in partnership with VDAB and Le Forem as well as the sectors concerned. The user chooses the sectors he/she wants. The sector-specific words are organised in logical categories (equipment, machinery, components, maintenance, operations,…) allowing the user to quickly scroll to the right word. Furthermore, a specific search function (with autocomplete) is also provided in the different languages. The user can also create a set of favourites and practice with his/her favourites. The app is an initiative of the Province of West Flanders and was developed as part of the Interreg project AB Réfugiés-Emploi, in partnership with the following participants: POM West-Vlaanderen, VDAB, Le Forem, Ifapme, Mission Locale Douaisis, Entreprendre Ensemble, Rode Kruis Vlaanderen, Fedasil, Ligo Kortrijk-Roeselare, Edu+, Boerenbond, MTech+, Alimento, Horeca Forma Vlaanderen, Woodwize, Constructiv, Zorgnet Icuro, Travi, Vorm DC, Makkie, and Refu Interim.
