Picture this: you're walking through a park you've passed a hundred times. This time, your phone buzzes — softly, automatically, no tapping required — and a stranger's voice starts telling you about the day they proposed on that exact bench, twenty years ago. You keep walking. A block later, another voice picks up: a local teenager's rant about the best taco truck in the city, left right where it's parked. That's YapSpot. Every place has stories. We just never got to hear them — until now. YapSpot lets you record your voice and pin it to the exact spot you're standing in. Anyone who later passes within range hears it automatically — playback is continuous, like a music stream, no searching or tapping required. It's the audio equivalent of graffiti: temporary or permanent, public or private, left for whoever walks by next. Think Twitter/X, meets CB radio, meets Maps. Every pin is a voice. Patented. US Patent 9305020.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Obiit at none against YapSpot's 1. Obiit also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.6). YapSpot's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
