TAZOO is an augmented reality app (AR) that combines storytelling, nostalgia, and local communities. The project reconstructs the Tel Aviv Zoo, a beloved zoo in the center of the city, that operated between 1938-1980 and is based on the stories of the local community. The Zoo re-creation is developed using location-based AR technology. Through this technology, visitors in the garden are able to envision the zoo as it once was superimposed on the actual garden via a mobile interface - allowing the user to fuse the past, present, and future. So come on! download the app, pick up a set of earphones, and come visit us at the Gan Ha'ir Garden in Tel Aviv.
