About

PairIndex

Features

Just how rare is your ideal partner? PairIndex is a simulator that puts dating preferences into numbers. It won't give you a "dating score" or rank anyone. It shows how rare a set of conditions really is. Enter what you're looking for, such as age, height, income, savings, education, body type, looks and lifestyle, and PairIndex estimates how many people actually match. • What share of people meet my conditions? • About 1 in how many? • Which condition narrows it down the most? • How many more candidates if I lowered the income bar a little? • How rare am I, compared with people my age? [How rare is your ideal?] See the estimated share of people who match, also shown as "about 1 in N", with a fun comparison like "as rare as winning the Powerball jackpot." [What's narrowing it down] Find out which conditions cut the candidates the most. [What if you relaxed a little?] See how many more people you'd find if you loosened one condition. "$100k+ → $75k+?" "6'0" and up → 5'10" and up?" Move a slider and the result updates instantly. [How rare are you?] Enter your own profile to see what share of people your age and sex match you or better. It's not a score of your worth, just how uncommon that combination is. [The condition gap] Compare how rare you are with how rare your ideal is. [Compatibility of views] Answer a few questions about marriage, kids and lifestyle to see how many people's views wouldn't clash with yours. This is shown separately from rarity. [Share] Share a stylish result card to X or Instagram, or save it to Photos. You choose whether your conditions appear. [Based on public statistics] Estimates use official statistics such as the U.S. Census Bureau, CDC and the Federal Reserve. Correlated conditions (like income and education) are modeled together, so results aren't simply multiplied. Japan, South Korea and Taiwan data are also available. There are no official statistics on looks, so the "top X%" you choose is used as is. [Privacy] Everything you enter stays on your device. No account needed. All results are estimates. PairIndex doesn't judge real relationships or anyone's worth. Being rare isn't the same as being attractive. Use it as a prompt to rethink what really matters to you.
