Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Plan at none against CrossoverFM's shown. Plan also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.2). CrossoverFM's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Plan against 5.0 for CrossoverFM. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Plan has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Plan ships an update every 4 months, CrossoverFM fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
