Verdict
The clearest difference is ratings volume: 抄经 at 96 against PDF Pro Reader Edit's 4. 抄经 also leads on review sentiment (86% vs 75%). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. 抄经 sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and PDF Pro Reader Edit sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
PDF Pro Reader Edit holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 抄经 has 96 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of 抄经's written reviews are positive against 75% of PDF Pro Reader Edit's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
抄经 ships an update every 5 weeks, PDF Pro Reader Edit every 4 weeks. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
