ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Particle Simulation holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Particle Simulation has 46 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Galaxy Paint's written reviews are positive against 25% of Particle Simulation's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Galaxy Paint ships an update every 5 months, Particle Simulation every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
