About

Informed Citizenry

Informed Citizenry helps you understand what your state government is actually doing. Browse every bill moving through your state legislature, read plain-language summaries, and see how your representatives voted. Mark where you stand on the issues that matter to you, and Informed Citizenry shows how aligned each legislator is with your positions — measured by their actual votes, not their press releases. FEATURES - Bill tracker: every bill in the current session, with status, sponsors, and the full text. - Plain-language summaries that explain what each bill changes. - Topic tags so you can follow just the areas you care about (education, taxes, public safety, the environment, and more). - Vote records for every state legislator, with links back to the bills they decided. - Personal alignment scores that compare your positions to your representatives' actual voting records. - Notifications when bills you're tracking move forward. WHY IT EXISTS Most political coverage is reactive and national. State legislatures pass the laws that shape day-to-day life — schools, roads, healthcare, housing, taxes — and they do it largely in the dark. Informed Citizenry surfaces the work in a format that respects your time. Currently focused on Utah, with more states on the way.
