NATURIFY Naturify is a completely free app for identifying living organisms that you encounter in the great outdoors! Using computer vision technology, the app identifies species, records the information about everything that you have seen. Naturify works for any kind of living organism that you will encounter in nature, from fish to flowers! LEARN Furthermore, Naturify is connected to Wikipedia, allowing you to browse information, and learn about the organisms that you encounter in the wild. FREE We are dedicated to making our software always completely free, and accessible to all people. We earn money from ads inside the apps, and do not intend to charge money for apps. DESIGN PHILOSOPHY In making our apps, we often like to exemplify an ideology of 'modest innovation'. In other words, we like to innovate, but only in a calculated and reasonable way. Most of my apps use some kind of AI, but not in a way that completely controls the functionality of the app. We don't like to try to reinvent the wheel with every app, but I try to use AI where it can be used to make the wheel better. In the spirit of that idea, we created an app for species identification that focuses on the quality of predictions above all else. A neural net tries to guess what a plant, fungus or animal is, but you have to use your human brain to do some of the work. When the app shows its predictions, unlike other apps, it tells you how confident it is about every prediction. Furthermore, it is connected to the Wikipedia API and gives you information about each species that your picture might contain, and you need to do a little bit of the detective work.
