About

Woodpile

Features

Woodpile is a sorting puzzle that waits for you. A woodpile seen end-on: round log ends packed into a small hex lattice, each one wearing a painted colour mark the way a forester marks timber. Three stacks sit under the pile. Drag one onto any free cell and the pile sorts itself - neighbouring stacks with the same colour on top slide together, and when ten of a kind sit together they are carted off. That is the entire rule set. A PUZZLE THAT DOES NOT HURRY YOU No timer. No move limit. No energy meter, no lives, no daily login reward. Put the phone down mid-thought and the pile is exactly where you left it. Nothing in Woodpile is built to pull you back - it is built to be worth coming back to. THE PILE DOES THE SORTING You only decide where a stack goes. Everything after that is the pile's own logic, played out in front of you: a merge exposes a new colour, which matches another neighbour, which fills a run to ten, which clears and exposes the next. The satisfying part of a good move is watching how far it travels. TODAY'S PILE One pile a day, dealt from the date itself, identical for everyone who plays it. There is no server and no account - the stacks are worked out from today's number on your own device, so it works on a plane. Next to your score sits par: what a careful reference player scores on that same pile. Beating par is a real result, not a leaderboard position shared with a stranger who played for six hours. Share the day's result as a small picture of how your pile ended - it never gives away the stacks, so it spoils nothing for the next person. WHAT IS INCLUDED • Classic - endless, unhurried, with your best to beat • Daily - the same stacks for everyone, with par • A share card that shows how your pile ended • Quiet streaks that simply start over if you miss a day • Works fully offline • Sound effects, no music - keep your own playing • An optional daily reminder, off unless you turn it on Free, with ads only between rounds - never during a puzzle. A one-off purchase removes them for good. Nothing is locked behind it. Boring Games Studio is a one-person studio in Sweden making small puzzle games for the gaps in a day.
