WX Aviation Weather gives pilots fast aviation weather for 50,000+ airports worldwide — METAR, TAF, NOTAM, SIGMET and PIREP, both raw and fully decoded. Built by and for pilots, it turns raw reports into clear, easy-to-read information: runway wind components, ceilings and visibility at a glance, and PDF or text reports you can share in seconds. ROUTE BRIEFING (Premium) - Save your regular routes: departure, waypoints (navaids or any point on the map), destination and alternate - Advisory go/no-go for each airport at its own time — departure at ETD, destination and alternate at ETA — against your minimums, crosswind and runway-closure NOTAMs - En-route SIGMET/AIRMET and PIREPs along the route, with flight time corrected for winds aloft - Possible departure windows over the next 24 hours, with a push when a GO window opens - Route map, alternate finder, saved offline briefings and PDF export WEATHER ALERTS (Premium subscription) - Push notifications the moment conditions change at the airports you monitor: flight category, personal minimums, crosswind, TAF go/no-go and NOTAM (runway closures, ILS, lighting or navaid outages). WEATHER & REPORTS - METAR, TAF, NOTAM and SIGMET — raw and decoded - Weather timeline — METAR history and the TAF forecast on one time axis with a NOW marker - Personal minimums — set your own ceiling, visibility and crosswind limits; periods below them are highlighted right on the timeline - TAF verification — see how the previous TAF actually verified against the observed METARs, with a match rate - NOTAM timeline — every NOTAM on one time axis with the TAF and the crosswind on the best open runway; pick your departure time to see what is in force. Filter by category, critical NOTAMs highlighted - METAR, TAF and NOTAM in plain language — flowing prose summaries, no shorthand required - Pilot reports (PIREP) on the map — turbulence and icing reported by other aircraft, color-coded by severity, with a full decoded detail view - Runway wind components for every runway, plus a per-runway crosswind timeline — a color-coded severity bar for recent and forecast crosswind, with your personal limit marked - Adaptive weather map: runway layout, flight category and wind barbs; zoom in for more METAR detail - Winds & temperatures aloft map layer: standard wind barbs at your selected flight level, with temperatures and a forecast time slider AIRPORT DATABASE (works offline) - 50,000+ airports with runways, frequencies and elevation - ICAO/IATA codes, sunrise/sunset and magnetic variation - Nearby airports, filterable by runway length and METAR/VFR availability FAVORITES & GROUPS - Organize airports into Favorites and Groups (Briefing tab); export a whole group's weather as one PDF or text briefing - Local flight window (Premium): GO/CAUTION/NO-GO for a one-hour local flight over the next 24 hours, on every favorite - Sync Favorites, Groups, Routes and Settings across your devices with iCloud PILOT TOOLS - Density altitude, crosswind, twilight (civil, nautical, astronomical) and day/night flight time calculators - Pilot stopwatch with lap times APPLE WATCH - Favorite airports with decoded reports, raw data and plain-language METAR & TAF on your wrist - Watch face complication showing up to 4 favorite airports WIDGETS - Weather Timeline, METAR, METAR & TAF, Weather Symbols, and METAR in plain language widgets for your Home Screen IMPORTANT: WX Aviation Weather supports your situational awareness; it is not an official briefing source. Go/no-go checks are advisory — the pilot in command makes every decision. Missing METAR, TAF, NOTAM or SIGMET data is unavailable at the source, not a fault of the app. Always obtain an official pre-flight briefing. PURCHASES Premium — auto-renewable subscription (monthly/yearly), 7-day free trial, cancel anytime. Unlocks everything, including Weather Alerts. The core app is free.
