On the Chew is the all-in-one companion for fishing in Australia — real-time conditions, accurate tides, a legal size and bag limit guide, and a community built around real catches, not guesswork. CONDITIONS, AT A GLANCE See exactly what the water's doing before you leave home: live wind and swell, water temperature, wind by the hour, rain and wind maps, barometric pressure trends, sunrise and sunset, moon phase and UV — for your current location or anywhere you search in Australia, always in that spot's local time. Swipe the cards to look ahead up to 7 days. ACCURATE TIDES, RIGHT AROUND THE COAST Tide curves and high/low times for 579 stations in every state, calculated on your phone from constants fitted to Bureau of Meteorology predictions — typically within a few minutes of the official tables. SPECIES LOOKUP Look up 65 species in seconds: legal size, bag and possession limits, habitat, best lures and bait, season notes and known locations — with real photos, not stock art. Limits shown are NSW rules; for spots in other states, the app links straight to that state's official fishing rules. A REAL FISHING COMMUNITY Share your catches with photos, post gear reviews and tips, and browse a live feed of what other anglers are landing. Follow the anglers you trust, favourite the posts worth remembering, and organise what you save into collections. Browse Discover for a video feed of catches and techniques. FISHING SPOTS & TEAM UP Drop a pin on your favourite spots and share them with the community, or keep them private. Host or join a Team Up meetup — pick a spot, set a date, and fish alongside other locals. MESSAGE YOUR FISHING MATES Direct messages and group chats with photo, video and voice message support — plan a trip, share a spot, or just talk shop. BUILT RESPONSIBLY Clear Terms of Use with zero tolerance for abuse. Block anyone and report content that doesn't belong — every report is reviewed. Delete your account and everything in it, permanently, any time, right from Settings. Tide predictions are estimates based on Bureau of Meteorology data and are not for navigation. Whether you're chasing a bag limit on the harbour or checking if it's worth the drive to the coast this weekend, On the Chew keeps the guesswork out of it.
