Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Caliber at 4.8 against Air Workouts's 3.8. Caliber also leads on review sentiment (78% vs 50%) and ratings volume (6.1K vs 5). Air Workouts's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Caliber sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $3.00 per month and Air Workouts sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Caliber holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Caliber has 6.1K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 78% of Caliber's written reviews are positive against 50% of Air Workouts's.
Caliber ships an update fortnightly, Air Workouts weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
