About

dilate

Dilate is an advanced vision therapy application which uses machine learning and augmented reality to strengthen eye muscles and raise conscious control of vision acuity. Basic steps are provided below with a learning center in development! * Step 1: Find a piece of clearly printed text on a contrasting background. (i.e - white text and black background.) * Step 2: Open the app and hold as far from your face as possible at eye level. * Step 3: Begin bringing the phone back to your face until the text cannot be seen through the dilate image unless you relax your focus (similar to looking through a store window). * Step 4: You should now be looking through the image and focusing on the text behind it. * Step 5: Play with the distance as the machine learning works differently on each device. NOTE: Text behind the image should be clear but you should be able to easily play with your focus like a store window to either look _through_ the image or at the image itself. That's it! As you do this exercise you should feel some interesting things happening in your eyes. We hope you're hooked and please share your experiences! More sophisticated exercises, videos, and research are in the works! * EULA: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ * Terms of Use: https://dilate.info/terms/ * Privacy Policy: https://dilate.info/privacy/

Pick whichever you find most pleasant to listen to. - Endless generator A procedural composer that synthesizes ambient sound live on your device — drone, breathing, melody and coloured noise. It never loops and never repeats. - Flow auto-mix Let the app DJ your night. Flow picks compatible scenes and crossfades between them every few minutes. - Build your own mix Layer any number of sounds. Adjust volume, speed and 3-band EQ per sound, add echo, reverb or pitch, then save the result as your own mix. - Import your own sounds Add any audio file from Files and mix it with the built-in library. - Breathing exercises Eight guided patterns, including 4-7-8, box breathing and coherent breathing. - Sleep tracker Log your nights, rate how you slept, watch your trends, and sync it all quietly to Apple Health. - Smart sleep timer with fade-out Drift off naturally. Zero distractions. Perfect For: - Falling asleep faster - Masking background noise and snoring - Boosting focus and relaxation - Meditation and winding down - Traveling, studying, or napping Note: binaural beats work through headphones — the effect relies on a slightly different tone reaching each ear.
