The devices provide healthcare providers and patients with the tools to deliver high-quality patient care with a goal to improve patient outcomes. Patients receiving ports require long-term intermittent vascular access and often are patients with cancer, blood disorders, or nutritional deficits. These devices are often implanted for greater than a year. This mobile app supports patients with implantable ports and their family members with information and education about the ports.
