Movie slates are used to display useful info to the video editor and allow the editor to sync audio and video. This is a SUPER simple movie slate app. It's not fancy, but it does the job. Just type in the information, show it to the camera and hit "clap". A red flash will appear and a clap sound will play. From there you should be able to sync your audio and video in post just as you would with any other movie slate. If you have any ideas for improvements please let me know via a 5 star review or via email mail@brendenvogt.com Enjoy

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
SD holds the better App Store score, 3.4 against 2.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 12 and 6 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 22% of SD's written reviews are positive against 25% of Mr. Slate's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
