PreQx helps children and families prepare for a hospital visit or operation through simple explanations, calming activities, and playful experiences that make unfamiliar moments easier to explore step by step. EXPLORE THE OPERATING ROOM Discover an illustrated operating room in full screen. Tap the lamp, bed, monitor, and other objects to see them react and learn what each one does. PRACTICE WITH THE MASK Become familiar with an anesthesia mask through two breathing activities: blow out the candles in Brave Cake or follow the lights in Calm Sky. The microphone only detects blowing on the device; audio is never recorded or stored. PLAY AND FIND CALM Choose a companion — Arro, a dinosaur, a bunny, or a bird — and enjoy short activities focused on breathing, attention, movement, and color. INFORMATION FOR FAMILIES Review general reminders for before and after the operation, prepare questions for the care team, and keep the hospital’s instructions locally on the device. INTERACTIVE STORIES One optional, one-time purchase unlocks three complete stories with choices, changing scenes, and the selected companion. Stories can be read again without additional payments. • No advertising • No account required • Core content available offline • Spanish, English, and French • Restorable purchase on compatible devices PreQx is an educational companion. It does not diagnose, treat, or replace guidance from surgeons, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, or hospitals. Always follow the instructions of your medical team. During anesthesia-related activities, the device must be held and supervised by an adult and used only with the medical team’s permission.
