Holiday Matsuri vs Thock Reader

The Official 2025 Holiday Matsuri App!

Thock is a reading app built for people who want to read more and scroll less. It brings your RSS feeds, newsletters, and saved web articles into one calm, focused space. No algorithms deciding what you see. No infinite feeds designed to keep you hooked. Just the writing you chose, presented cleanly, ready when you are. HOW IT WORKS Articles arrive in your Feed from the RSS sources you follow and the newsletters you subscribe to. When something catches your eye, save it to your Library. When you're done, shelve it. What you don't want quietly fades away. That's it, a simple rhythm of discover, read, move on. CLEAN READING EXPERIENCE Every article is stripped down to what matters: the text. No pop-ups, no cookie banners, no auto-playing videos. Just words on a page, rendered with care. Highlight passages in multiple colors to remember what stood out. Your reading position is saved automatically, so you can pick up right where you left off. YOUR INBOX, YOUR RULES Each Thock account comes with a unique inbox email address. Subscribe to newsletters with it, and they'll appear alongside your RSS articles, no more inbox clutter. Manage everything from one place. SAVE FROM ANYWHERE Found a great article while browsing? The Thock Chrome extension lets you clip any web page and send it straight to your Library. Read it later on your phone, your tablet, or your computer. THOCK PRO The free tier gives you everything you need to get started. Pro unlocks the full experience: - Unlimited RSS feeds - AI-powered article summaries - Weekly reading digests - 1-hour feed sync (vs. 6 hours on free) - Permanent article retention BUILT FOR READERS Thock was made by someone who was tired of saving articles and never reading them. It's deliberately simple, deliberately quiet, and deliberately focused on one thing: helping you actually read.
