Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Home Sequencer at 4.8 against enc0re's 4.1. Home Sequencer also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and device support (3 vs 1). enc0re's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 50%) and ratings volume (42 vs 4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Home Sequencer holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: enc0re has 42 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Home Sequencer's written reviews are positive against 80% of enc0re's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Home Sequencer ships an update weekly, enc0re every 9 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
