Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SPIDER AUDIO at none against Retra's 3. SPIDER AUDIO also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (10.3 vs 16.0). Retra's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (3K vs 1). On price, rating and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Retra sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. SPIDER AUDIO asks for nothing beyond the download.
SPIDER AUDIO holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Retra has 3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
SPIDER AUDIO ships an update every 2 months, Retra every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
