Pipe Coil Calculator is a professional fabrication and engineering tool for calculating pipe coil lengths, limpet coil lengths, half-pipe jacket lengths, and coil development layouts used in process equipment manufacturing. It is designed for fabrication engineers, mechanical engineers, pressure vessel fabricators, process equipment manufacturers, estimators, and workshop professionals working with reactors, agitators, mixers, pressure vessels, and other industrial equipment. Available Calculators 1. Internal / External Helical Coil Calculate the required length of internal or external helical pipe coils for vessels and industrial equipment. Useful for coil fabrication, material estimation, and costing. 2. Shell Limpet / Half-Pipe Jacket Coil Calculate the required length of limpet coil or half-pipe jacket installed on cylindrical shells. Inputs include shell diameter, number of turns, and coil pitch. The result can be used for fabrication planning, material estimation, and costing. 3. Dish End Limpet Coil Calculate the required length of limpet coil installed on pressure vessel dish ends using coil starting arc distance, number of turns, and pitch. 4. Dish End Limpet Development Develop sector-based layouts for fabricating half-pipe jackets on dish ends. Inputs include: • Dish crown radius • Dish thickness • Pipe coil outside diameter • Pipe thickness • Coil pitch • Sector starting distance • Sector ending distance The calculator provides development information for individual sectors to simplify dish end limpet coil layout and fabrication. Key Features • Internal and external helical coil length • Shell limpet coil length • Half-pipe jacket length • Dish end limpet coil length • Dish end limpet development • Sector-based coil layout • Coil pitch and turn calculations • Shell and dish end calculations • Cord distance consideration for practical coil-end matching • Metric and Imperial units • mm and inch dimensions • Automatic unit conversion • Fabrication-friendly results • Simple and professional interface • Fast calculations • No internet connection required • No distracting advertisements Applications Pipe Coil Calculator is useful for: • Pressure Vessel Fabrication • Process Equipment Manufacturing • Chemical Reactors • Agitators and Mixers • Jacketed Vessels • Storage Equipment • Industrial Process Equipment • Limpet Coil Fabrication • Half-Pipe Jacket Fabrication • Coil Rolling and Fabrication • Material Estimation and Costing Whether you need to calculate a helical pipe coil, shell limpet coil, dish end coil, or develop sectors for a half-pipe jacket, Pipe Coil Calculator provides practical calculation tools for everyday fabrication and engineering work. For fabrication layouts, use appropriate dimensions and allowances according to your actual manufacturing method and project requirements.

BS Tools is a toolkit of calculators designed for HVAC and other Building Science (BS) applications, as an alternative to more tedious, manual methods. UTILITIES Single Point Psychrometrics: This calculator provides psychrometric properties of air at a glance. It's great for changing humidity units. Mixed Air Psychrometrics: This calculator provides psychrometric properties of the resulting air of two mixed air streams, e.g. ventilation air mixed with return air. Duct Calculator: In a word, it's a classic 'ductulator'. This tool accepts any two choice inputs among CFM (Air Flow Volume), Duct Diameter, Friction Rate (Head Loss), and Air Velocity. This utility will then provide the other two parameters for you. Uses either a round diameter, or rectangular dimensions. Smallest Zone Calculator: This calculator can be used to gauge how much excess air is acceptable in a heating or cooling system. Bypass Calculator: Paired with the Smallest Zone Calculator, this can tell you how much air you can bypass. Values are unique for cooling and heating (adjustable for altitude). IR Wall Insulation: This calculator can help you estimate the R-Value of a wall, with Infrared (IR) exterior and interior surface, and interior ambient temperatures. Provides a common wall material that best matches your readings with a general degree of confidence in that match. Note included tips on measuring for best results. Parallel R-Value: This calculator provides an overall R-Value (and U-Value) for a wood frame building assembly* (typically a wall), given the R-Values of different materials and their areas or proportions present in the assembly. *Not for use with metal framing. ASHRAE 62.2-2019: Gives ventilation CFM requirements corresponding to ASHRAE 62.2-2019. Fan Run-Time: Simple calculator to calculate ventilation system run time, in min/hr, given the ventilation requirement and fan capacity. Pairs nicely with ASHRAE 62.2 Calculator (and is automatically linked). Note: The above calculators use IP (inch / pound) units. Unit Converter: Converts units. Interpolator: For when you have the number you're looking for at THIS point and THAT point but you're actually somewhere BETWEEN those points.
