Welcome to the Bob Evans Rewards mobile app, where you can order pickup or delivery and earn rewards just for dining at Bob Evans when you download the app! You can create an account to save your favorite orders, find nearby locations and get rewarded on your birthday with a special treat. In the Bob Evans Farmhouse Kitchen you can always find farm fresh, homestyle meals created with our special touch, just like Bob intended. It all started 70 years ago with a 4-stool, 6-table diner in Rio Grande where Bob and Jewel welcomed family and friends. Today, we do the same with our Farmhouse Kitchen menu filled with fresh ingredients harvested each season from farms across America. We believe the best of the season tastes even better when it’s fresh from the crate to your plate!

Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Bob Evans at none against Smo's shown. Bob Evans also leads on ratings volume (31K vs 38) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Smo's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 69%) and update cadence (weekly vs every 4 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Smo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bob Evans has 31K ratings behind it against 38, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 69% of Bob Evans's written reviews are positive against 100% of Smo's.
Bob Evans ships an update every 4 months, Smo weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
