The goal in Minesweeper is to find and mark all the mines hidden under the gray squares in the shortest time, helping to put the player's name at the top of the leaderboard. This is done by touching the squares to open them. Each square will have one of the following: 1. A mine, and if you touch it, you lose the game. 2. A number, telling you how many mines are hidden underneath adjacent squares 3. Nothing. In this case you know that none of the adjacent squares have mines, and they will be automatically opened as well. It is guaranteed that the first square you open won't contain a mine, so you can start by tapping any square. Often you'll hit on an empty square on the first try and then you'll open up a few adjacent squares as well, which makes it easier to continue. Then it's basically just looking at the numbers shown, and figuring out where the mines are. Control : 1. Tap to uncover (or open) 2. Long press to setup flag 3. Tap on a number to uncover neighborhood squares 4. Enter the world of minesweeping challenges. Solve games from Easy to Expert using your powers of deduction. But be careful—exploding mines await the unwary! Minesweeper Mobile takes the classic puzzle game and reimagines it for your iPhone, iPad and Mac. Every game looks great and plays fast. And with its solvable games feature you can complete all challenges without guesswork. How to Play The game starts with a grid of cells. To win you must uncover cells on the game board while avoiding mines. Numbers in the cells provide a guide to where mines are located. To play — place flags on cells where you know there are mines and clear cells where there are no mines present. Winnable Games In the classic version of Minesweeper some games were not solvable without guessing. It could be frustrating indeed to nearly complete a game, make a final guess and lose it all. And so Minesweeper Mobile has a solvable mode to ensure that the game is decided by your deductive skills rather than by chance. Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Minesweeper at none against Minesweeper Mobile's 1. Minesweeper also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 82%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). Minesweeper Mobile's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 6 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.
