Illumined is a Catholic formation app that brings learning, prayer, and parish community together. Designed for the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) and parish faith formation, it gives students a clear place to begin and instructors practical tools to guide the journey. LEARN AND REFLECT Explore Catholic lessons and quizzes, revisit material, and track your progress. Classroom assignments bring lessons, readings, and discussions together with due dates and completion indicators to help you understand what comes next. DEEPEN YOUR PRAYER LIFE Connect learning with spiritual practice through common prayers, a guided Rosary, Lectio Divina, the Liturgy of the Hours, examinations of conscience, and Daily Formation. Preparation guides help you approach upcoming rites, sacraments, and parish celebrations with greater understanding. STAY CONNECTED Your classroom dashboard brings together announcements, upcoming gatherings, assignments, and prayer intentions. Participate in classroom discussions and chat, or use the private inbox to message your instructors. Notification settings let you manage alerts, and profile photos help personalize your classroom experience. TOOLS FOR INSTRUCTORS Organize your parish’s formation program in one place: • Assign lessons and readings, set due dates, and create discussion prompts. • Customize lesson and quiz materials or create your own. • Review student progress and manage classroom membership. • Publish announcements and maintain a class schedule. • Create preparation guides adapted to your parish. • Share student invitations through codes, links, and QR codes. • Invite co-instructors with one-use invitation codes. • Make your classroom discoverable and review requests to join. A guided walkthrough introduces the app’s features and helps instructors get started. BUILT FOR PARISH LIFE Illumined supports the relationships at the heart of Catholic formation. Students can prepare between gatherings, stay connected with their class, and return to helpful resources. Instructors can adapt the experience to their parish while keeping learning and communication organized. English and Spanish language options are available. Access to classroom content depends on your enrollment and your instructor’s settings.
