Well, now you can make A LOT OF MESS and you'll get REWARDED for it.  Do not tell your parents! :-) Make a Mess is an addictive game you can play anytime, anywhere. You'll be given all sorts of objects in the game: furnitures, chandeliers, paintings, boxes, chairs, tables, lamps and your goal is to break all of them to complete a level. Each level has a different room with furnitures and objects for you to destroy. Break it all and make a lot of mess. The more mess you make, the more "mess points" you'll get. Then you can use those "mess points" to unlock other balls and it is INSANELY ADDICTING! The game controls are very simple. Drag to slingshot the ball in a direction you want. The more you drag, the faster the ball will slingshot. You can also slingshot while the ball is in the air. As a beginning, there are 100 levels to play with, but if you like this game, we can create a lot MORE. Do not forget to leave a review and show some love if you like this game. Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Fail Run at 4.7 against Make a Mess's 2.6. Fail Run also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (34K vs 5). Make a Mess's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 41%) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 14.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Make a Mess sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Fail Run sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Fail Run holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fail Run has 34K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Make a Mess's written reviews are positive against 41% of Fail Run's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Make a Mess ships an update every 7 months, Fail Run every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
