Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: 6 Tool at 5.0 against Baseball Rules's 4.4. 6 Tool also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). Baseball Rules's advantage is review sentiment (89% vs 75%) and ratings volume (50 vs 8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Baseball Rules sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and 6 Tool sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $99.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
6 Tool holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Baseball Rules has 50 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 89% of Baseball Rules's written reviews are positive against 75% of 6 Tool's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Baseball Rules ships an update every 2 months, 6 Tool every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
